If you want to read about us going to the Wichita mountains you can read it here on Caleb’s blog untill the part where they cross the dam.

After Stephen, Sara, Rachel, Hannah, Donald and Caleb crossed over the dam, Eric, Chris, Lora and I stayed behind. After a while Eric and Chris wanted to jump in the water they jumped in and got out because the water was gross (Lora was sitting on the dam with her feet in the water). Then we found a fish hook and some balloon string and tied it together and threw it in the water. When I started pulling it out there was some water ptants stuck on it and Chris was helping me get it off when two park rangers came down to the dam and asked how the water was. Then they said that there was a sign that said “no swimming or wading” Chris and Eric had both swam and Lora had her feet in the water so they could both get $150 fines. then they asked me and Chris if we had a fishing licens, nether of us did, But sence I am only 16 I don’t need one untill January 2006… so Chris could have gotten another ticket ($100) for fishing. Finally they decided not to give anyone a ticket unless they cought any of us doing it again…then thay left and we went and sat on some rocks to wait for everyone else to get back and we saw them at the top of a mountain (if they where looking in the right spot they could have seen us)(there was a higher spot than where they where but it went down before it went up higher) that looked about a mile away it might have been less it only took them about 10-20min to get back. After they got back we than thats where Caleb’s blog starts into my story again.

Today I went to OU with Caleb (he had to go to an engineering thing) we met Caleb Harris there and so we left Caleb there with Caleb. Then we came home so we can go back later for another thing and I started writing on my blog and typed: “If you want to read about us going to the Wichita mountains…” and thats what I’m doing now

COACH starts on thursday so I might have more things to write about but less time to write about them :-/

I might post some of the pictures I took at the mountains if I have time…

*Update*
here is another picture of where we where.

I ran in my first race saturday. I ran in the “100 m dash” and the “1500 m run”. In the 100 most of the guys where shorter and more muscular than me so they could start out fast and it takes me the whole 100 meters to get going that fast. I think I was behind about 2 seconds(about 10 to 15 meters most of the time.

In the 1500 I did a little better I started out 2nd(out of 8 or 9 runners) for the first 150 m then I was 3rd untill I was near the end of the first lap(400 m)(there where only 3 other guys that where running in my age group the 5 others running where younger) I was 4th and every one my age had passed me then at 550 m one of the younger guys passed me (I think he sprinted the rest of the race) then I couldn’t keep running as fast as I was ( I have only run about 5-7 miles in the last month) after 700 m the rest of the younger guys passed me. I got slower and by the time I got to 950 m the younger guy that was sprinting passed me again by 1000 the guys my age passed me again and started sprinting to the finish line. Then most of the other younger guys passed me at about 1050 m and when I got to 1100 everyone had finished and I still had one more lap to go. When I got to about 1300 m I started to get my energy back but by then it was to late. I think my time was about 7 min

I found out that I’m too tall to be a good spriter and that some people sprint the 1500. So I’m going to try longer distances and practice more. And maybe high jump…or pole vaulting

Here is the short version of what we did.

We went through Arkansas, and Tennessee, and we stoped to see some friends there then we went to Virgina and stayed with our grand-parents a few days and went too see all our cousins and some other family members. Then we went to North Carolina where all the rest of our family lives and did lots of fun stuff like going to Sliding Rock(thats me going down) and Looking Glass Falls. Friday we left to come home and got home Saterday night

I will be adding some of the 345 pictures I took to the gallery or I might just have Caleb put them on his blog, he can do a gallery thing on his blog that is better than the way I have my pictures. Or if you can’t wait you can just go here to see some of the pictures http://one4life.blogspot.com/

I will be going on vacation tomorrow so I might not be posting any untill the 18th unless I have access to a computer. When I come back maybe I’ll have something interesting to post about . I will also have lost of cool pictures to add to my gallery, Yay!
